There have been very few contemporary male rnb aritst that have been able to make an impact within the past few years. For a while now its been the same usual suspects such as Usher, Chris Brown, Neyo and Trey Songz. Now we have a new artist by the name of Miguel who hopes to join the ranks of these Elite Artist. Miguel hails from Los Angeles California and is of African American and Mexican descent. For those who have heard of Miguel already his rise to stardom has not been an overnight success. Hes been perusing music professionally since the early 2000s and got his start writing for other artist following a recent trend of artist such as Keri Hilson, Neyo and The Dream. Among the Artist Miguel has worked with include Usher, Musiq Soul-child and Asher Roth.
Miguels first single "All i want is you" featuring up and coming rapper J. Cole. dropped in early summer of 2010. The song wasn't a smash single, but over time become a fan favorite and radio hit. Miguel was considered by many industry insiders as an artist that we should all watch. His first album also titled "All i want is you" was released in November 2010 to little fanfare but great critical reception. It is a solid debut release that's sure to pick up on the charts as more people begin to discover this great new artist. Miguel will have the opportunity to showcase his music on a grander scale as he is the opening act on the OMG Tour starring Superstars Usher and Trey Songz.This is sure to be a boost for his career and help continue his momentum in 2011.
