Lady Gaga stomps on Britney Spears with huge Billboard debut

Recently Lady Gaga has been taken over pop singer Britney Spears for breaking records and history with historic sales and airplay records.  Over a three day span, Gaga’s "Born This Way" debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, selling an amazing 448k downloads.  This means the track has made its highest first week digital sales by a female artist in history. By debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Born This Way" makes history as the 1,000th song in a 52-year history and being the largest premiere-week for airplay.

Lady Gaga had a groundbreaking audience of 78.5 million listeners. "Born This Way" has also token over  Britney’s "Hold It Against Me" which debuted at #1 four weeks ago by selling 411k in digital sells and with 45 million listeners.

Meanwhile, "Born This Way" has been receiving negativity and controversy.  I don't think that Gaga would, literally go copy Madonna.  Yes, I do think that she took inspiration from Express Yourself, No I personally don't think that she's copying.
