I'm wondering if anyone here has abandoned a point and shoot camera for their iPhone camera? Is it good enough to replace the average digital camera yet (obviously not professional grade cameras?
All the rumours about the iPhone 5 having an 8MP camera have me curious how good the iPhone 4 camera actually is? My 3GS is decent for quick snaps of things here and there but still awful compared to even a budget point and shoot camera.
On a side note, has anyone used those telescopic lenses for the iPhone, and if so, what were the results like?

@ChrisA Thanks for the reply. It was very informative! Actually there's a lot of things I need to know because I'm actually migrating to Mac from PC and there are some things which I'm not clear.
Most of the instruments on jam pack are just "ok". Good enough for your own composing but not good enogh for profesional recording. But there are third party speccialized software instruments that work. Jam Packs are the best bang per buck because you get so many on the disc. but always there is something better.
This is one example of a 3rd party "plug-in" I think there are a few others. http://www.ninevoltaudio.com/products/taiko.html

It would be neat to mod that somehow with Sims 2. Make it feel like you're "in the game." Then again, your guests may start to think that you "have no life." ;)

I don't think that a mac formatted shuffle would be able to transfer data to a windows computer. I've done it the once and found this to be the case.

We already have a website/twitter/facebook, I just wanted to cover all bases and an app seemed like the next step.
You can still combine/publish those in a way that would make them most accessible to small screens including Android phones. With a webapp you can still get an icon on the iPhone/iPad screen and get your content where you need it.

Just an update. I received my Otterbox Defender in the mail this morning and I love it. I am so confident in the case that when showing it of to a friend, I purposefully slammed it against a marble floor from a 6 feet height and I picked it up and there was not a single scratch on the case.
I have big hands so the naked iPhone 4 is to small for me but the otterbox defender makes the phone just the right size for my hands to fit around, so that is a major plus for me.
I think I'm going to be using this case for a while, probably until I upgrade phones.

After some research my top 3 sorted options are:
1.- OCZ Vertex 2 120GB
2.- Intel X25-M 120GB
3.- Samsung 470 Series 128GB
I will be using it as my boot drive for Mac OS X 10.6.7, any suggestion which one would be the best option for speed ?, thanks

Might be there for 5 or 6 AM. Have a full day of work that starts at 9 AM and includes going out of town in the afternoon. Can't be sure I'll be up and alert enough to go later in the evening to pick-up. Plus it looks like fun
Same here, leaving on a flight at 2:30, but I don't have to work (I'm a grad student). I was hoping I could show up at 7 am and wait however long it takes and get the phone and still make my flight. I am guessing I don't have to stay up overnight to do that, and hopefully I can still meet cool Mac people.
